Sometimes a date catches the eye because the runs keep arriving. In four consecutive April 16 appearances—2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023—the Phillies scored at least eight runs each time. Together, those four games produced 47 Philadelphia runs. The qualification is important: this is a scoring streak across appearances on a date, not four consecutive calendar years.

The sequence began at home against the New York Mets in 2019, when the Phillies won 14–3. Their next April 16 appearance came in 2021, a 9–2 home win over St. Louis. There was no April 16 game in 2020 in the qualified record. For this measure, a date without an appearance is skipped rather than counted as a failure to reach the scoring threshold.

The next two games moved the sequence onto the road. Philadelphia won 10–3 at Miami in 2022 and 14–3 at Cincinnati in 2023. All four happened to be wins, but winning is not the condition that defines Calendar Fireworks. The relevant test is whether the Phillies scored at least eight runs. A loss with enough Philadelphia runs would meet that scoring condition too.

The final scores make the pattern concrete without supplying details they cannot support. They show 47 runs scored and 11 allowed across the four games, with Philadelphia reaching double figures in three of them. They do not identify the hitters responsible, describe rallies, or establish how many home runs were hit. Those would require separately checked player and play-by-play evidence.

The neighboring appearances show where the scoring run starts and stops. Philadelphia scored one run in a 2–1 loss at Atlanta on April 16, 2018. On April 16, 2024, the Phillies beat Colorado 5–0. That later result was a win, yet it fell below eight runs and ended this particular high-scoring sequence. The boundary is a useful reminder that a scoring streak and a winning streak answer different questions.

The comparison is limited to qualified Phillies regular-season games from 1899 through 2025. Each qualifying date here contains one game; no doubleheader changes the total. Original source dates and the eight-run threshold govern the count. Fireworks describes the historical scoring pattern. It offers no prediction of what a future April 16 will bring.
